Not much rain to speak of right now but with the instability of the atmosphere and daytime heating we could see some storms Tom.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE COMBINED WITH A STATIONARY FRONT ACROSS
THE TENNESSEE VALLEY WILL PRODUCE WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS BY LATE TODAY AND TONIGHT. THESE STORMS WILL LIKELY
CONTAIN TORRENTIAL RAINS WHICH MAY CAUSE LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY WILL REMAIN ACROSS THE SOUTHERN
APPALACHIANS AND TENNESSEE VALLEY THROUGH THE WEEK. A COLD FRONT
WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION FRIDAY. SCATTERED AFTERNOON AND EVENING
THUNDERSTORMS ARE ANTICIPATED WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. ISOLATED
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE.

Dude, I haven't seen the usual poster that does this around for awhile, but usually there is a thread about the weather. It's pretty helpful, esp around the winter time.

Some heavy rains expected again, especially tonight and into Friday. Might see some flood watches going up depending on how things develop. Rain shield associated with a low pressure system tracking across Arkansas currently should aid in the heavy rains later as it moves closer.

through Friday evening...

...Moderate to heavy rains may cause flooding overnight and Friday...

.A moist airmass over the southern Appalachians and Tennessee valley...ahead of an approaching low pressure system and cold front...will result in widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms into Friday.

Most locations have received varying amounts of significant rainfall over the past few days...with some locally torrential rainfall in a few sports. These additional 1 to 3 inches of rainfall through Friday afternoon...should cause urban and small stream flooding in many areas. Poor drainage and low lying flood prone areas are the most likely areas for flooding...and flash flood warnings may be required in areas which receive especially heavy local rainfall.

The showers and storms should move northeast of the region by Friday evening. Stay tuned to this station for later statements and forecasts.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy rain... which may lead to flooding in and near the watch area. If you are in the watch area... .keep an eye out for rising water or water over roadways. Keep informed... and be ready for action if flooding is observed or if a Flood Warning is issued. If you come to a closed or flooded Road... turn around! Don't drown!

Believe we have some on here that are in central and eastern KY, for those interested and don't know, Bailey's opened up a live chat session on his website tonight.

Don't know if its really a threat here, haven't seen anything mentioned by Morristown yet, but the SPC has moved a slight risk for severe weather zone northward to include southern KY. We're just off the edge of the zone, but close enough still yet, so I'd keep that in mind just in case.
